Our expertise

The idea for cubeSphere dates back to the 2000s when Dr. Gerald Bode developed one of the first comprehensive cross-functional frameworks ever for techno-economic assessment for chemical processes under uncertainty during his PhD studies. The project was conducted at TU Berlin, in cooperation with MIT and ETH Zürich.

After finalizing the PhD in Chemical Engineering, Gerald has collected almost 20 years of management consulting experience, with many projects in chemicals, oil and related industries.

Over the past years, concept and experience were transformed into the cubeSphere technology platform, which makes the concept easier to apply and implement into corporate environments.

Software development has been supported by enthusiastic technology experts, with extensive industry experience, who understand the concept's background and ambition, and look forward to support improving the platform and implementing your requirements.

We can count on a network of consultants, consulting companies, software developers and industry experts to support you bringing the concept into practice.

Both, from conceptual and technological point of view, we look out for the adaptability of new ideas, e.g. AI, forecast and data analysis techniques to simplify, improve and reduce analysis effort.

Our technology

The cubeSphere technology platform:

  • is easy to use - just draw the process/network fill in required information and receive results

  • includes Net Present Value, P&L, production costs and CO2 impact calculations

  • allows for uncertainty analysis to account for information quality levels and supports efficient uncertainty resolution

  • contains a performant calculation engine allowing for material, energy, and cost flow calculations

  • supports remote calculation functionality to run computationally expensive analyses in the cloud

  • includes a growing database for processes, data, and information sources to improve the basis for decision making and modelling

  • allows for flexibility to include other data and analysis techniques, if required

  • .... and more to come
